The Challenge

Hurricane Ian destroyed 35 feet of the customer’s 70-foot seawall. The remaining 35 feet was still structurally sound, and the homeowner needed a contractor who would be honest about what actually needed to be replaced rather than recommending unnecessary work.

Scope of Work

Damage Assessment

Thorough evaluation of the full 70-foot seawall to determine which sections were still structurally sound and which required replacement.

Partial Seawall Replacement

Replacement of the 35-foot damaged section with new vinyl sheet pile, matching the existing structure.

Reinforced Cap & Tiebacks

New 20-inch by 24-inch reinforced concrete cap and helical tiebacks every 9 feet on center for the replaced section.

Our Solution

Ultramarine replaced only the 35-foot damaged section of the seawall with new vinyl sheet pile, capped with a reinforced concrete cap and tiebacks — saving the customer the cost of a full replacement while fully restoring the property’s shoreline protection.
