What started as a concern about a bowing seawall and a few potholes in the yard turned out to be a more serious structural issue. Ultramarine repaired the tiebacks, sealed the seams, filled the voids, installed a new 120-foot seawall cap and sidewalk — and even added a waterside patio so the clients could enjoy their property more than ever.

The Challenge

The clients noticed their seawall was bowing and had developed potholes in the yard. Upon inspection, Ultramarine discovered the tiebacks had deteriorated and were no longer functional, leaving the wall essentially freestanding. The seam seals had also failed, allowing soil to erode through the wall into the water — causing the voids and potholes visible on the surface.
