Bayshore Capital Multi-Site Seawall Restoration

Client type: Commercial (real estate investment)
Location: Volusia County, FL

After Hurricane Ian tore through Volusia County, Bayshore Capital was left with seawall failures and shoreline erosion across three separate waterfront properties. Ultramarine Solutions was brought in to assess the damage and build a single plan to restore and stabilize all three sites. What followed was a large-scale, multi-location rebuild run on one coordinated schedule.

Three Properties, One Storm’s Damage

Hurricane Ian’s storm surge and wave action caused significant structural failure to the existing seawalls at all three Bayshore Capital properties. The walls had lost their retained soils, and ongoing erosion was actively threatening the surrounding property and infrastructure. In total, more than 2,000 linear feet of damaged seawall needed replacing. Spreading that across three locations meant the real challenge wasn’t only construction, it was keeping permitting, material deliveries, scheduling, and crews aligned so every site kept moving at the same time.

A Coordinated Rebuild Across Every Site

Ultramarine handled the full scope at each property: demolition and removal of the failed seawall sections, shoreline stabilization, and installation of new seawall systems engineered for long-term storm protection. The new walls were built with 24-foot composite panels, chosen for their durability, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance in a harsh coastal environment. Because each property brought different site conditions and access challenges, our team adjusted equipment, sequencing, and installation methods site by site. Throughout, minimizing further erosion and protecting the properties mid-construction stayed the top priority, which meant working closely with the owners, engineers, and permitting agencies to keep all three jobs progressing safely.

  • Demolition and removal of failed seawall sections across all three sites

  • Shoreline stabilization to halt active erosion during construction

  • New seawalls built with durable 24-foot composite panels

  • Permitting, deliveries, and crews coordinated to run three sites at once

Long-Term Protection Across Three Properties

The completed project restored shoreline protection across all three Bayshore Capital properties and delivered a long-term solution built to withstand the harsh coastal conditions that come with major hurricanes. It’s also a clear example of Ultramarine’s ability to manage large-scale marine construction across multiple sites at once, adapting to post-storm conditions while holding production schedules under genuinely challenging circumstances.
