Homeowner Rocky Milovanic hired Ultramarine Solutions to replace an aging seawall that could no longer hold up to modern storm conditions and coastal erosion. Although the wall hadn’t fully failed during Hurricane Milton, the storm did enough damage to the return walls and surrounding areas to put the property’s pool structure at real risk.
A Pool on the Edge of Failure
Hurricane Milton’s surge and erosion undermined the soils near the seawall, leaving the pool structure in jeopardy of collapse from soil loss. While parts of the original wall were still standing, it became clear the overall system had reached the end of its useful life and needed full replacement to protect the property long term. The work had to happen close to the pool and other waterfront improvements, with limited room for construction operations.
Stabilize the Shoreline, Save the Pool
Ultramarine developed a replacement plan focused on improving shoreline protection and stabilizing the areas around the pool and return walls. Our team coordinated demolition of the failing seawall components, shoreline stabilization, and installation of the new wall system, all while protecting the existing pool and surrounding improvements. The new seawall was designed for greater structural strength and long-term durability, built to handle the harsher storms and higher water events that have become more common along Florida’s coastlines.
